We have applied to the Charity Commission to change our constitution.
Originally Abergele Men’s Shed was registered as a Foundation CIO with only 5 members. We have applied to the Charity Commission to change to an Association CIO as we feel this is both more democratic and better reflects the way we want to operate. The major changes are:
- Change our name to SIED DYNION ABERGELE MEN’S SHED to comply with our bilingual policy.
- Opens up membership to all who want to join.
- All members have a vote on how we are run.
- The members elect the Trustees – normally at an Annual General Meeting
- The Trustees can delegate some of their work to sub-committees
