ABERGELE MEN’S SHED
The greatness of a community is measured by the actions of its members.
C. Scott-King, 1927-2006.
Abergele Men’s Shed provides a space for men to get together, work together, talk together and have fun together. We promote men’s health and well-being through social interaction, physical and mental activity by providing a sense of purpose and a reason to get up and out each day.
Abergele Men’s Shed was formed in 2015, purchased a wooden shed and operated from a café car park. During the COVID crisis the café was sold and we had to move all the equipment to a storage container and starting looking for a permanent base. Luck was on our side and after some negotiation we purchased the “shell” of a building behind Market Street. As the building needed extensive refurbishment we moved to a temporary base and registered ourselves as a charity. Today, we operate from the Worsleyware Business Unit at the Tayna Business Park at the end of High Street, Abergele. While business continues supporting the community we are seeking support form The National Lottery to refurbish “our home”. The National Lottery have already supported us by funding our building plans. This could not have been achieved without the following support:
